Well lets give this another try. The Lady Dukes are scheduled to play the Phoenix at the Schar Center this weekend on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 PM each game. Will be televised as usual on FLO. Coach O is still in Covid protocol so he will not be able to be at the games (due back on Monday I believe) so Coach Langford will be running things in Coach O's absence.

Elon also has not played in a while due to Covid issues so it will be nice to see a game again!! Will be watching with the wife on both Saturday and Sunday.

Game #9 for the Dukes and their second CAA contest. Hoping JMU plays to their size advantage.

Dukes down early 5-2 but then go on a run and are up 18-13 at the end of the 1s quarter. Smith and Douf each have been hit with a technical in the 1st quarter. Weird.

4:48 media timeout 2nd quarter. Dukes up 22-18 with Elon heading to the line. Dukes a bit cold so far this quarter have missed a bunch of shots. Elon continues to turn the ball over.

Post-block stare downs and chatter. I’m not bothered. Especially in a game without Sean. Intensity is good.

We did the wholesale substitution thing at beginning of 2nd period. 5 new players: Goodman, Green, Carrodine, Eleanor and Oppenheimer. They played together for 3:15, played solid D and extended the lead by 2 points. Did appear to be a bit limited offensively though.

Cold second quarter for the Dukes but they lead 26-23 over the Phoenix.

Kinda of an ugly game so far, shows the rust on each team. Elon hasn't played in 27 days and the Dukes have been off since January 3 due to Covid issues.

The Power Rangers came in for the last few minutes of the 3rd quarter and did real well mostly shutting Elon down. Dukes up 49-41 heading into the last 10 minutes of the game.

Good Gals looking good. Up by a baker's dozen with just under 4' to go.

Dukes offense really heated up in the 4th quarter along with good D and they beat Elon 75-63.

I know you’re just cracking jokes, but Sean should get a lot of credit for empowering Coach Langford and not try to micromanage from afar. He spoke about that during the weekly lunch presser & I think that approach allowed the team to focus on trusting her.
