RE: AIG Cancels...
What state does Schilling live in? Because he can go straight to the DOI for that state and AIG will be under immediate review. No insurance company can cancel a policy without being an approved reason filed with the state.

These companies have lost their minds... and millions and millions of dollars before it's all over.

RE: AIG Cancels...
My guess is AIG canceled Schilling's umbrella policy, which would be excess to the Personal Liability Coverage on his homeowner policy plus broader in what is covered. AIG will take the position his social media activity makes him high risk for alleged civil rights violation claims, assault, slander, negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress, etc from third parties.

This will be interesting to see how this develops. Do they take similar positions with people who post from the Leftist point of view? Who is insuring Shaun King?

RE: AIG Cancels...
So, its time for us "little people" who have AIG---to cancel AIG. Lots of options in insurance. The absolute moronic decision of companies to get involved in politics when we live in a 50-50 nation has always been a head scratcher for me. Its an unforced error to alienate half your potential customers when nobody really cares what your company thinks. Nobody care what the lunchmeat maker thinks. Nobody cares what their toilet bowl cleaner maker thinks. Nobody cares what the carbonated sugar water maker thinks. Its just dumb on so many levels....unless a divided political environment isnt enough---I guess some want a divided economy as well.

And you need to sit down and let the adults speak. But, if you're too dense to understand the slippery slope of companies canceling you simply because they don't agree with you politically, let's spell it out in terms that even you or AOC could understand. Would it be wrong to be denied food service at a restaurant simply because you supported Pedo Joe? Would it be wrong to find out that you no longer have car insurance because you voted Democrat? What if you got denied a mortgage because you don't adhere to a specific political ideology? If you answered yes to any of these, then you should understand the issue here. If you answered no, then you've proven yourself to be dumber than AOC, which is quite an accomplishment.

Didn't y'all just try to cancel an election that you didn't agree with last week? 03-shhhh

let's not forget AIG was bailed out by the American taxpayers by a rather large sum of $$$. Short memories here.

Conservative commentator and former baseball star Curt Schilling says that AIG canceled his insurance policy over his “social media profile,” a new level of deplatforming not yet seen.

“We will be just fine, but wanted to let Americans know that @AIGinsurance canceled our insurance due to my “Social Media profile,” tweeted Schilling.

“The agent told us it was a decision made by and with their PR department in conjunction with management,” he added.

While innumerable Trump supporters have lost their Twitter and Facebook accounts due to social media censorship and cancel culture, cases of individuals being cut off by banks and other financial services are now growing too.

The purge has gone beyond the realm of simply silencing people on major platforms for their opinions, but punishing them for expressing them by trying to make their lives unlivable.

Numerous respondents pointed out the obvious – that without insurance it’s impossible to mortgage a home or register a vehicle.

However, other leftists applauded the move and said that Schilling deserved it for his support of Trump.

“You’ve definitely earned it,” remarked one.

“I mean…. capitalism right? They calculated the risk and decided your premiums weren’t worth the long term exposure?” added another.

What happened to Schilling is yet another chilling example of how Chinese Communist social credit score system is being implemented in America.

In August 2019, the Communist state bragged about how it had prevented 2.5 million “discredited entities” from purchasing plane tickets and 90,000 people from buying high speed train tickets in the month of July alone.

Having worked in insurance this should be a slam dunk lawsuit against AIG. If Schilling was nothing more than another policyholder and not a spokesman, then the AIG PR angle shouldn't be a factor.

It wasn't disagreement, it was questionable. Do you believe Biden, who sat in his basement tickling his dog's @ss and watching Cuties, actually got more legitimate votes than even Obama? If Democrats were confident in this win they'd have welcomed the challenge with open arms, not hide it in the basement like they did ol' pervy Joe.

RE: AIG Cancels...
I think it's interesting he doesn't mention what type of insurance it was.

Pure speculation, but AIG offers specific insurance for media content

Quote:Media Liability for Broadcasters and Publishers
Publishers and Broadcasters Insurance offers comprehensive coverage for the media exposures of publishing and
broadcasting companies, from risks related to news reports, to podcasts, to content fed via wireless devices.
Highlights and Features
• Addresses the wide-ranging liabilities for broadcasting and publishing companies
• Uses an “open peril” approach to provide broad liability protection across multiple mediums
• Responds to claims arising out of all media distributed by the insured
• Does not require a list of covered media to be added to the policy
• Provides protection for numerous perils, including: trademark infringement; copyright infringement; defamation; false
light; false imprisonment; product disparagement; infliction of emotional distress; failure to maintain the confidentiality
of a source; negligence in the quality of material; loss based on the reliance on material; outrageous conduct; and
invasion of privacy
• Amends “dishonest conduct” exclusion to allow for asserting a First Amendment protection or when such conduct
involves the “actual malice” standard in a defamation case
• Available on a claims made or occurrence basis

If AIG dropped his home owners insurance for his social media presence that's deplorable. If AIG dropped him from the insurance above for his social media that's a completely different situation

This is what I was thinking. Most media carries Media Liability Insurance that would protect them from a liability claim. If that's what AIG canceled that seems to be within their right if they see his social media as increasing their risk.

If homeowners or car that's petty.

Yes. 82 million people weren't voting for Biden, they were voting against Trump. More people voted in the 2020 election than any other election and it wasn't even close. Even Trump got more 5 million more votes than Obama.
Joe Biden had positive favorability numbers (Hillary's were always negative. Trump's approval rating was always in the 40's. I predicted that Biden would win this in March. Then you toss in Trump's response to the Coronavirus, 1st debate performance, fundraising issues and that's ballgame.

Correct. Its like their social media / PR department made a decision without getting legal involved. Because legal certainly would not have worded that letter the way they did. You cant cancel coverage because your PR department wants you to.
