RE: Early CFB Top 25 for 2021
I enjoy these and seem that most of the top 10 projections make sense based on final ranking this year/season performance in 2020 and number of players bringing back.

Notre Dame is #6 in one and #15 in another. Crazy.

They only return 3 on offense and 6 on defense. Top 5 seems asinine.

Cincy will be hard pressed to be as strong defensively without Marcus Freeman. I will have to see it. I hope they are successful until they play us.

Thank goodness that guy is gone. Surprised a CUSA-type school hasn't scooped him up as HC yet. Arky State would likely have been better off than the joker they hired.

I expect the loss of Brady White is key in the reason Memphis is not ranked.

DC's are important and all, but returning 8 players is more important.

Put it this way, Cinci is better off having 8 starters return and a new DC than having Freeman return and only have 3 starters returning. (short term at least).

Yes it is. If we were an Mid tier SEC team we would be ranked top 5 if we were in the same situation.

I'm too lazy to look it up, but every year is going to be Texas' year even though they never do **** the current year. LSU started out at #6 this year.

It seems ND will get that push this year.

#TexasIsBack

every season until they lose 1 non-conf game, lose to OU in Dallas, and lose to some random B12 team and punch their ticket to another San Antonio Valero Bowl.

I don't know why people continue to say that when all ND does is win every game on their usually difficult schedule. If you win and keep winning then any team will be highly ranked. Why do fans seem to think it should not apply to ND? Just because they got beat soundly by Alabama and Clemson? Hell everybody lost to Bama. They produce wins on the field and that's all any team can do.

You're talking one year. We're referring to the last 40 years. Facts show, they are preseason overrated the vast majority of the time.

You're assuming they all return to Cincy, now that he's gone. We will see.

Quick glance at the transfer portal shows they have 3 defensive guys in, but only 1 was a (sometimes) starter - Pitts. But the 247 portal hasn't been updated since Freeman's announcement.

This year was probably the toughest schedule they have played in years.

Opponents records combined were 38-58.

Only beat Clemson at home missing their best player.
