Defensive lineman Joshua Washington (6-7, 225) of Sterling Heights (Mich.) Stevenson High School announced his commitment to Central Michigan on Jan. 5, via Twitter.

A class of 2021 recruit, Washington is joining the Chippewas as a preferred walk-on. He was offered a PWO on Dec. 30 and chose CMU over a reported offer from Bluffton (Ohio) University.

Well, I was just wondering if we were putting together a basketball team... not a football team with our recruits lately.

We're going to need a 7 foot qb to see over our offensive linemen, at this rate.

He can piggyback with his running back.
