Karens are one of the Democrats core constituencies. Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris, Michelle Grisham, Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Gretchen Whitmer, on and on and on. If Ocasio-Cortez “learned” this kind of behavior, the Dems have provided a whole galaxy of pathological examples.

More to the point, you can't convict a private citizen in impeachment, if they cannot meet until the 20th then there is nothing to be done.

You can, of course, have hearings on the matter to figure out what happened and prevent it again.

The only remedy for impeachment is removal from office. Once he is out of office, impeachment is moot.

It seems that way. I just watched a video of Dershowitz interviewing about this. He states that Constitutionally only a sitting President or other official can be brought before the Senate in an impeachment trial. You simply can't do that to a private citizen. If you could? You could do it to anyone meeting the qualifications of president and of course that would be absurd. So once Trump is gone...its over. The House can do whatever they want to do..but..its really..."sound and fury signifying nothing".

Not really. If convicted, he would be prevented from running again in 2024, would lose his pension, and would lose Secret Service protection.

Provide the law that states that, and Trump could care less about a pension. According to Dershowitz Congress has NO authority over private citizens otherwise they could impeach Presidential candidates.
