Indiana Game - Hotels Available
Does anyone know of any hotels that are available in Bloomington the night of the UC-Indiana game on Saturday, September 18th?

I looked around and couldn’t find ANYTHING.

Thanks in advance!

i originally planned on staying near the indy airport the night before but was then told by a friend in bloomington that construction around martinville is a cluster.

instead, yesterday i found a b&b to the west of nashville, indiana - but that’s still 40 minutes away with normal traffic. I’m really concerned about traffic jams on 46 coming in from the east. From that direction, it’s like getting in and out of Oxford. Two lanes of winding road. Leave early.

She said if you want to stay close there are 3 that are near by the stadium. Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, and a Wingate by Wyndham. They normally just drive in for the game from Indy so they have never stayed at those places.

Per Hotels.com has Super 8 by Wyndam at $403 NO WAY.

Nashville $165 - 171

I will drive in early.

yup. i saw one for something like $560. i’m
paying $169 for the b&b. never been to one, didn’t want one, but beggars can’t be choosers.

like i said before, i expect the road from the east to be a major cluster. i haven’t been to bloomington in 14 years, but i remember weekend traffic around nashville being annoying.

Bloomington isn't used to handling big football game crowds.

The only times they get big crowds are O$U and Purdue and the Purdue people don't stay overnight.

Drive in as the nearest half decent hotel rooms are in Columbus IN.

Rooms available in Nashville are straight out of the 1980's.

We booked a hotel in Bloomington near the stadium back in the March timeframe and even then rooms were getting very scarce and expensive.

Big game for our 'Cats...but very big for Indiana too. Without searching the record books, I'd have to guess it's the highest ranked non-conference opponent to visit Bloomington in years.

I too am worried about traffic out of Bloomington after the game. I am contemplating going south out of Bloomington to Bedford, and the hitting US50 all the way to Cincinnati. If you're looking for lodging, you may find rooms in Bedford or Seymour. Plus that's a really nice drive in that part of the state.

But you miss Gnaw Bone and Nashville and I hear the Nashville House has reopened.

I always liked Going to Nashville in the fall. However, since it's a noon start time, I think we'll go up & back on Saturday.

I’ll probably grab a meal after the game and drive out after the traffic lightens up.

Is black the standard attire for away games? I'm going with a group of IU fans, and I don't want to be mistaken for a mouth breathing Hoosier fan.

I would guess wearing Black would signify you are not following the team with Crimson and Cream...I think we, as a team and a fanbase, should just wear black every game, home or away lol.
