Rand Paul was probably 17th of the 17 Republican candidates for me in 2016, but he was #1 on the integrity list.

I don't understand how anyone can ban him.

You know it will be an uphill fight with the Biden DOJ to do it. States can start it though.

Political affiliation aside, I'm honestly surprised how many people use Facebook on a heavily regular basis. It's been awful for years.

In my opinion anyone who uses Twitter or Facebook for any reason facilitates their Brownshirt powers. People always have excuses...I need it for work...it’s just to stay in touch with family. Sorry, they lose the right to complain. In for a dime, in for a dollar.

The Tech giants are going to be facing many lawsuits soon.

They pull down posts and de-platform those who have opinions different from theirs, yet leave up incendiary posts from Iran, China, etc. Then they cite violating their terms of service to those de-platformed, and do not apply those rules evenly to all users.

Companies like Apple, Amazon, Google use their power to attempt to kill smaller competitors in the social media sphere. Some people will say, well they are private companies, they can do what they want. Really? They get away with it because of the provisions of section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which shield them from liability from what users post on their platforms. It's like a giant government subsidy that allows them to act like this. Without that protection, these companies would cease to exist as they are.

Apple and others threatened Parler that they are responsible for everything on their platform. Really? That would make them a publisher, not a platform, yet Parler has terms of service just like the others. All those fools who buy the nonsense that Parler is allowing hate speech are too stupid to think for themselves and only parrot what those tyrants on the left feed them. Why, then is the same not asserted against Twitter or Fakebook? They allow on their platform egregious posts from China, Iran and other countries. They allow antifa to plan their meetings, events and riots on their platforms. There is a huge double standard at work here.

Discovery in the Parler lawsuit will be fascinating.

Zuckerberg is the biggest dbag in the universe.

My wife uses it all the time to keep track of people. But she's getting ready to unfriend a bunch of Democrats. They have just been off the scale vicious and nasty to some of the people on her friend list. My wife never posts anything political.

Facebook hasn’t been worth it since the days when you had to have a college email to sign up and and it was primarily used to figure out which parties you were going to on the weekend.
