RE: MBB NET rankings
Troy is the oddball. A NET rating of 261, but an RPI of 93.

I'm guessing the RPI is so high because Troy has the toughest OOC schedule in the SBC, plus a couple of decent OOC wins. So weird.

RE: MBB NET rankings
Are there any sites that project end-of-season NET like there are for RPI?

RE: MBB NET rankings
We're #8 in RPI and #67 NET. A big gap for us as well and every other mid-major.

Ugh I just wish we would be crappy enough to get rid of Marlin.

I can not believe we still have the same head coach. Just fire the guy and put some GA in charge for a fraction of the salary. It couldn't get much worse.

RE: MBB NET rankings
I used to ***** about the RPI, but it seems like it was much fairer to mid-majors than the NET rankings. I can't recall- has the NCAA committee just replaced the RPI with the NET, or do they still give the RPI some consideration?

I think maybe I've read/heard that they do have RPI on hand during their deliberations...? Who knows if it has any impact. In fact, chances are it's most likely to have an impact if it gives them an excuse to put a .500 P5 team in over a mid-major (yes, I'll put a dollar in the jar).
