Now we get to play Delaware who has 6'10 Painter who is going t0 present another huge issue.
I'm very interested to see what coach learned from the last few days and how they choose to deal with Painter

The only thing I'll point out here is that Skerry has been at Towson for a while (this is his 10th season there, wow...). A long layoff impacts an established program a bit less than it did us, with Siddle in his first season.

Not trying to make excuses, but in this strange season, teams with continuity do have a slight edge. We knew that would be the case at the start of the season. And that had to make a difference this weekend.

We still should have gotten a split out of the weekend. We have more talent than Towson does. I understand why we couldn't all-out press, but I definitely would have liked to see more ball movement on offense. The last few games, even dating back before the COVID break, there's been a bit too much "hero ball" for my liking.

That said, I have full confidence in Coach Siddle and that he'll make the proper adjustments.

I think Siddle sent a message about "hero ball" when he benched Sims, even though we had a short bench and kept him out even at crunch time.

Continuity matters and so does the fact every CAA coach has already faced most of our players last year, while Siddle is seeing every team for the first time. They know they're strengths and weaknesses having played against them several times already.

I think we should have gotten a split, but when your "star player" ends a game with a TO and three missed shots during crunch time in the first game, then gets benched in the second game, perhaps we are relying on the wrong player too much. Also, how in the world does Gadsden end up with one shot attempt in an entire game? What we are really seeing is the lack of a true PG that distributes the ball and makes the offense run smoothly. We have a lot of good one on one players, but we really miss Phillips tremendousy running point.

I've said it before and i''l say it again. Until Phillips returns we will be an ok team, but not a top 5 team in the CAA.

I saw Siddle's post game comments too, and to his credit called out the "hero ball". He specifically mentioned a lack of ball movement. If a team lets a ball stick too much it makes defense a lot easier for the opposition. I agree with 82, that until Phillips returns (if he even returns this year)… we are not going to be the team we can be. He's just that much of a difference maker on offense due to his ability to handle and distribute. Sadly, this is why we really needed Carr. That's obviously not happening either.

I'm beginning to wonder if Shy makes it back either sadly. If Carr never dresses that will be 2 complete eggs in his first recruiting class. Granted, Harvey looks like a stud.

If Bowen is indeed out long term, it sounds like it, How the heck do they deal with Painter inside this weekend?

Shy: I don't think he returns this year.

Carr: I've said since this before and sticking with it. We'll never see him in a Seahawk uniform.

Bowen: No idea what's up with him now.

You can just look at our assists per game and understand what he means by hero ball.

Big difference between half one and two on Tuesday. First half they moved the ball well. If I had to guess I’d say averaging 4,5,6 passes and got good shots. Once they faced adversity it went back to hero ball
