Rice fans in the DFW area have a chance to cheer on the Owls in-person later this month. UNT is allowing 1500 fans per game in the arena for basketball this season, with socially distanced assigned seats.

The men’s game 1/30 will sell out, only upper deck seats still remain.

The women’s game (1/28*) probably won’t sell out, but if you prefer lower bowl tickets, you should purchase now. (Join me in Sec 118 where several pairs still remain available)

You can pick your exact seats online, and also see how they’re enforcing good social distance practice.

Only 130 seats remain for the 1/30 Men’s game at UNT. So they’re over 90% sold out.

Still a very few lower deck seats available for the women’s game (section 118)...

UNT women are currently tied for first in our division with us at 5-0.

UNT men are at 2-1 and in third place just behind Rice and UAB.

Both of these games should be good matchups with tournament seeding and division title ramifications.

Losing games vs UAB and North Texas hurt as those are probably the 2 best teams we play in conference this year. Hopefully we are able to reschedule at least one of the opponents before the conference tournament.

I'm not sure either is better than ODU.

BTW, when we finally are cleared to play we're likely to be extremely rusty as we're not practicing either due to COVID. Everyone is quarantined with either a positive test or contact tracing.

You may be right about ODU, but I did see some highlights of UNT against some lower tier CUSA competition and they definitely fall in the contender category.
With the proximity I’d hope we can get one or both UNT games rescheduled in mid-week, best case scenario.

Updating title again... Men’s game in Denton moved to Sunday afternoon.
