Look at the runs and disorganized play just yesterday where we sat on our hands. It changed that game irreversibly. Been a trend.

It’s not a fine line between letting them fight through and needing to stop right now to make them stop doing the same thing wrong over and over until you get to a TV timeout. If this season is DOA (it is) teach.

Nobody learned anything from the second kick of a mule.

It appears that this team has no strong hand on the rudder during games. Starting to suspect it may not outside of games.

We just got beat by a team that had a mass exodus after last season, so guys choosing to leave doesn't have to be a death sentence.

Having said that, I suspect and hope that they all stay.

My argument is that timeouts don’t help when you are down big with 2 minutes to go. I am a big believer in using timeouts earlier in the game to prevent runs. There are enough ways to slow down the game in the final few minutes that come from fouling, the opposing team using a timeout, and video reviews.

I also believe in yanking players out for mistakes.

Didn’t we just get beat by a team that returned 4 of 5 starters from last year?

I admit I don't follow them that closely but I thought they lost 2 or 3 starters. At least some significant contributors.

Gilbert start for Uconn?

They lost like 7 to transfer this offseason plus their head coach.

They backfilled largely with Jucos and sub 300 recruits and an assistant as interim. They looked sloppy but better prepared than we did.

RE: Game Day Thread: Cincy vs. the shuckers
They returned 4 guys who averaged over 24 minutes per game last year and got Alterique Gilbert, who was a two year starter at UConn to transfer.

We returned 3 players who averaged over 20 minutes per game last year and got Michigan's 6th man in the transfer portal.

To say their situation is any better or worse than ours is like comparing which testicle you've got cancer in. We both looked like disjointed messes, they just looked like they kept more of their Spaghettios on the tray table.

I'm guessing ECU as I think its previous game was cancelled too. So a modest two game home stand just disappeared at a time when this UC team really needs to get some wins again before facing Houston on national TV.

More practice time. From what I’ve seen, possibly way more valuable than a titanic struggle against ECU.

I heard somebody say they think it might be Uc. Something about a parent's twitter but not sure who mentioned Covid. It will come out.

Tari Eason’s mom’s Twitter.

It’s an entertainment all unto itself.
