That's a lot of saved miles!!!

I don't want to get out of @CMU and @EMU. Those should be easy wins. At this moment, UB has missed out on four games against the worst three teams in the conference.

i agree with you there, but I am sure the players don't mind getting out of 12 hours on a bus to and from EMU and 14 hours on a bus to and from CMU

RE: MAC basketball 2021 ...
OK folks, less than a month until the end of the season and here are some sobering facts.

1. Toledo and Akron are clear top dogs in the conference - no surprise there at this point.

2. But other than head-to-head, of the 6 other teams going to Cleveland as of now, none but Toledo have beaten Akron, and only Akron, Ball State and BG have beaten Toledo.

3. While every team is flawed in the MAC, the remaining six teams are seriously flawed in one way or another. Tonight Buffalo out-rebounded Toledo by 20 and had a whopping 25 offensive rebounds ... and still lost by 10.

4. Perhaps there is hope yet for Ohio to rise up coming out of Covid, but that is still to be seen. Youth aside, OU does have the most balanced (inside/out) starting 5 in the league.

5. Usually there are one and often two wildcard teams in the MAC Tournament, but this year - at this point - it really does look like a 2-team race.

Toledo has clinched the 1 seed in the MAC tournament after thrashing WMU Saturday evening. Toledo can win the regular season out right with a win on Tuesday.

Wrote the above exactly a week ago and already outdated. No. 5 is clearly down to Toledo vs. the field. Buffalo looked like a dreg a week ago and now look bulletproof. Akron seemed to be gearing up and now seem to be winding down. Bowling Green showing signs of life ... but.

And that's about it. At least today. We'll see how things look come Friday night.

RE: MAC basketball 2021 ...
If i gave each team a percentage shot to win the conference id say...
25% Toledo (Hot and rested)
20% BG (Really hot)
15% UB (Athletic as heck. Just shoot okay and no one is blowing them out)
12% Ohio (Not particularly battle tested on a regular basis but Covid Tested they are)
12% Akron (Slipping but have best player in the league)
12% Kent (Pippen vs. all)
3% BSU (Too inconsistent to win 3 IMO)
1% Miami (Not much of a chance, but hey)
