I really was not that aware that ULM had so few winning seasons I guess because I always saw them upsetting good teams or playing good teams really close

the lack of overall winning seasons is something to address for sure along with budget and fan support, but when you compare ULM over the last 20 seasons to one of the preeminent CUSA programs and probably one of the very top G5 programs out there with a massive budget, the best recruiting grounds in the USA, yuge fan support, and just everything going for them and a real sleeping giant well ULM compares pretty favorably

there is .6 average wins per season difference and .25 average losses per season difference

there is a big bowl game difference, but that is because top teams that are CUSA powerhouses and G5 standouts get bowl bids even with losing seasons even if they do get throttled on those bowl games continuously

so really ULM is just a 9 win season or two and a bowl win or two away from having the same on the field results as a G5 powerhouse/preeminent CUSA program and probably one of if not the top G5 to P5 expansion candidate when that time comes

Yeah, don’t know what you’re smoking, but North Texas isn’t a P5 expansion candidate, to anyone.

Yeah. Nobody outside of the AAC/MWC/BYU has a prayer of that.

ULM wins 3 straight SB west titles from like 2023-2025 and gets our first NY6 bid in one of those years and all the rest of us looks dumb having doubted them.

I REALLY like our coaching staff. It’s a mix of your future stars and older experienced name coaches with P-5 head coaching and coordinator experience. Definitely not a staff I thought would ever be at ULM. I will try to fill in some blanks tonight.

With Rods son coming in ULM could potentially push for 6 wins this year. I know people rag on Rich but he's been successful everywhere he has coached except for Michigan; he was hired too late for the spread craze and was never going to be given a chance to get his program built with his guys there.

If Bowden could win at Akron, surely he can win at ULM in what is a conference with a profile on the rise aided by C-USA and the MWC leaving ESPN.
