This is why one should be diversified. Schit happens. You better be on both sides of the schit and be content with modest gains over the long haul. Dollar cost average your schit and...no worries.

The billion don’t have disposable income. Something to keep in mind.

That don’t mean chit. Xi needs every bit of programmed propaganda he can get. I bet his plan is to befriend filthy Jack and Suckerberg and his Asian wife and use both till he’s tired of them and then disappearing them. That is if they stay on this side of the ground long enough.

Yep...Ill be retired next year at 62 with zero debt and zero worries of ever having to worry about anything but enjoying the rest of my life and still leave a sizable estate to my heirs. Gambling is for suckers or those that already have money to gamble without risk. Long term safe investments are the most reliable method of creating wealth....even Warren Buffett advises the average investor to dollar cost average in order to retire comfortably...without even worrying about SS. Its all about paying yourself first.

Quote:Warren Buffett stocks aren't known for being losers. But when they are, including some in the S&P 500, the pain can be severe.

A dozen U.S.-traded Warren Buffett stocks in Berkshire Hathaway's (BRKB) portfolio, mostly financials like Wells Fargo (WFC) and Bank Of America (BAC), are down 12% or more from the start of 2020, says an Investor's Business Daily analysis of data from S&P Global Market Intelligence and MarketSmith looking at currently reported holdings.

That's a rough loss to take given the massive size of some of Berkshire's positions. Adding to the injury is the fact the S&P 500 is up more than 15% in roughly that same period.

Wrong. Most of those stocks pay good dividends and if you just leave them alone over the long haul they are solid investments in any portfolio. My father left me a decent amount of shares of BB&T..now Truist. Dividends have been consistently around 40cent per share every quarter regardless of the price of the stock. If you just reinvest that dividend... it snowballs over time. Actually? You should be happy a a dividend paying stock price is low unless you need to liquidate it. Lower price means more shares to buy with your dividends.

You only lose in the market when you sell for less than you bought. It aint rocket science. The longer the term of investment?...the less risk of losing.

Quote:Legendary investor Warren Buffett says his young investment deputies — 48-year-old Todd Combs and 56-year-old Ted Weschler — are picking stocks for Berkshire Hathaways’ massive $173 billion equity portfolio that are outperforming his own.

“I'll just put it this way: They're doing better than I am,” he said at Berkshire Hathaway’s (BRK-A, BRK-B) annual shareholders meeting.

I deleted both FB and twitter. I have this and a parler account I never log on to. I have a MeWe account but same thing, I rarely ever go there.

It really is too bad about Facebook though, it was a great way to keep up and in my case even discover long lost or unknown relatives. I discovered family in Italy and Australia, so being able to learn something of their lives from afar and see pictures of people and places to which my family are connected was cool.

But, screw FB and screw twitter.
