It's because GOP senators understand that removing section 230 would cause the internet to grind to a halt.

For instance, GT Swagger could be held liable for the crazy **** you people post on here.

Not if he doesn't start editing content, like Twitter and Facebook are doing.

I finally found the video of the far right domestic terror group that chanted to hang Mike Pence. This is the group that started the lies about the election fraud that Trump picked up. Other people only caught up in this. There is a Trump supporter in this spoke saying this is disgusting. It is un-American for some of Trump followers to try a coup on our government.

Just as Antifa idiots and criminals infiltrated the BLM movement and caused a lot of the problems over the Summer...these QAnon idiots did this last week at the Capital. The arrests so far are showing they were heavily involved and the woman killed was a believer. Most Democrats did not approve of looting and violence this Summer and most conservatives don't approve of what happened at the Capital. This would be good point for our President elect to make to begin some level of reconciliation..but...I doubt that will happen. His handlers are all in on gaining political leverage now.

Instead we should be getting so many to vote that they can't cheat enough to win.

But I tell you, if they go along with any of this impeachment or 25th nonsense, I'm inclined to vote 3rd party until all those incumbent Republicans are gone.

Most people I know who are saying they will not vote again are people who have lost faith in the system. And I'll be honest so long as we allow mail in voting, ballot harvesting, and not having *STRONG* verification methods and standards I am inclined to believe my vote will never matter in my blue state.

I'll still vote, because civic duty and all, but I have no illusions that a well funded DFL will be sending "get out the vote people" into areas where they can *literally* buy votes.
no he isn't, that's what the MSM wants you to believe! He has exposed the media and the highest levels of the government for what it is: CORRUPT.

His banning from social media sites are only further proving what he's been trying to point out the whole time.

They don't want him to further expose what they are. If they weren't afraid of him, do you think they'd silence him?

You've seen people on this board saying they will never vote again. My wife has seen it from Facebook friends.

And Trump has ended Gov. Kemp's career. I think Trump throwing Kemp under the bus means we will have Stacey the Hut as governor. Kemp would have won reelection. He's split the Georgia Republican party. ALL the heat should have been on the worthless Secretary of State.

For outsiders, it seems like Stacy Abraham’s effectively runs the state anyway. Kemp destroyed the Republican Party in Georgia when he and his moron Secretary of State agreed to allow that idiotic settlement deal with Stacy.

Google banned Parler

Apple removed Parler from their store

Amazon removed Parler from it’s web hosting service

And every Democrat is OK with this because they’re “private companies”

If that’s the case, small business owners: OPEN UP SHOP & NEVER close for the government again

Biden* doesnt hold press conferences. He is mentally incapable of it. Trump had them. Surely you haven't forgotten his humiliating Jim Acosta in every one of them

he held one late last week. 01-wingedeagle

he was asked about the Trump impeachment and said that'll be up to Nancy and the new Senate.

he was asked about prosecuting the WV lawmaker and other 'actors' there and he said that'll be up to the DOJ because he wont order them around.

I liked both those answers...he was very Presidential.

Its not a matter of whether I like it or not. He is an incompetent senile bozo, but him trying to run this country will provide and endless amount of comedy.

Actually it should be OK for Republicans. need I remind you that it was Republicans that allowed a private company to not bake a gay wedding cake. You can’t have it both ways.

There were dozens of options.

And the baker isn't protected from lawsuits like Twitter, et.al. are.

Why not open up and refuse to serve anyone with a differing opinion? Oh yeah! The democrats go bat chit crazy when that happens. Except for this BS.

Or how about not picking and choosing when it’s ok to discriminate. You guys fail to realize that these sports boards ban people all the time when their speech gets out of hand. That’s why they have moderators. This is their right as is twitters.

The moderation of these sports boards and this one in particular is pretty even handed. There’s not obvious bias and there is hundreds of other sports boards to go to if you feel you are discriminated against. Not so in social media. These big tech companies have just proven that they can suppress speech and destroy competitors using collusion and intimidation.
This should trouble all. Even liberals if you can be honest with yourself.

So Mexico, Australia and Germany have now condemned Twitter.

I hope Dorsey's arrogance has finally gone so far to lead to his destruction. Thinks he's bigger than the leaders of countries. Hope the stock drops like a rock and the stockholders sue him and take everything he has.

Nice article from a Russian dissident: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/13479...64644.html

"...4. In my opinion, the decision to ban Trump was based on emotions and personal political preferences.
5. Don't tell me he was banned for violating Twitter rules. I get death threats here every day for many years, and Twitter doesn't ban anyone (not that I ask for it).
6. Among the people who have Twitter accounts are cold-blooded murderers (Putin or Maduro) and liars and thieves (Medvedev). For many years, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have been used as a base for Putin's "troll factory" and similar groups from other authoritarian countries ...

8. Of course, Twitter is a private company, but we have seen many examples in Russian and China of such private companies becoming the state's best friends and the enablers when it comes to censorship...."
