May have felt Dobbs was going to get his PT at left tackle. But Dobbs was a guard in high school but can play tackle. Those two on the left side would be killer.

Wtf are you talking about? You think he might have thought that a player not good enough to make Michigan State's two deep was going to change positions and take playing time away from him?

the main difference between P5 and G5 is the line.

Memphis starting offensive lineman Obinna Eze enters transfer portal

Twitter, yes.
GTG? Now why would they have a release about a player leaving? That's not how it works.

Yes, we often hear how G5 offensive lines are undersized. This is clearly the case with Eze; a 2 year starter who is 6'8 325. He must be scared thinking the guy is 6'10" 450 pounds and he is being replaced by a third stringer (at best) on the lowest scoring team in the Big Ten. Eze must have been scared of this guy coming in, changing positions and taking his playing time away.

Do you ever think things through before you post?

Eze seems like good guy and a good student. It has been a weird year full of turmoil and he has the ability to sample a new school , a new area, a new coaching staff and new women ( just speaking in generalities here - no specific info)

Not sure what his motivation is but he HAS GRADUATED from the University of Memphis and he may just want to try something new.

Eze only graded out at 75.3 this year. Parham switch from guard to tackle and graded out at 90.6. 75.3 moved him down into the 3-star range. So he could be concerned.

Dobbs did not dress for 2020 but started a few games in 2019.

Ok, if he has his degree, that may explain it. If he’s graduated, and is scholastically motivated, he may be going for a Masters in something not available at UM. I can see that happening...

So Eze is concerned because at 6'7", 325 he is undersized as a G5 lineman and is concerned about a guy who doesn't even play his position? That is why he is transferring? 01-wingedeagle03-lmfao

We have lost linemen over the years and often the typical reaction is that it wouldn't matter because they weren't going to get a lot of playing time, or hadn't reached their potential or stuff like that. Linemen get hurt, don't pan out, transfer, etc. You don't take them for granted on either side of the ball.

The bottom line is that regardless of the season he had, he is still a two year starter, who was going to be a 3 year starter. Also, by all accounts a great person. It's a big loss for sure.

Obinna Eze Enters Transfer Portal
Seems like a loss and probably is, but our O line was pretty crappy this season. 2 yards/carry seemed to be pretty common in many games. Not saying he was the problem, but overall it seems we need some upgrades or drastic improvement.

Makes you wonder what's going on when the players Silverfield recruited start transferring.

Google the transfer portal, it's crazy and a virtual free for all. When I heard Eze was going to TCU I searched and hell they are losing people too like all colleges and are wondering why. It's like a free market with a lot of promises for many. We have to hope that we lose a few and gain some talent. Times they are a changing

Only logical reason I can see him transferring is to go to a Christian school.
