Um @cajuns, I think you guys need to think about getting a new lighting guy.

Cajuns beat LR Trojans 66-64

During the final possession, Trojans had a chance to win or tie the game down 2 but with 5 seconds remaining, the lights turned off for a couple of seconds. The lights came back on a second or two later and our long three fell short.

We couldn’t overcome down 2 points the whole second half and one of scorers fouled out. Both teams kept responding to each other. Quite an entertaining game!

However, I’m interested in the replays of that final possession.

Here’s the final possession! (Edit: Quite upsetting and a lot of people who betted on the -.5 point spread on the Trojans are mad).

Could they have not given LR the ball with the 6 or 5 seconds back? That light scenario threw me off and I wasn’t playing lol

That’s another problem. The officials only talked for like a second and just said ball game. No reviews or any long discussions. They should’ve honestly stopped play once the lights went off! But nope. Nothing.

Bob Marlin got his players to run to the locker room as soon as the buzzer sounded. He knew it was wrong. Coach Walker had a thorough argument to the officiating crew after the game...

Obviously, not a LR basketball fan here. But this is complete garbage. This game had to be stopped.

Not good should have reset the game to 5 seconds and play it out. I hate being cheated and I also hate cheating.

Bad form Cajuns. You may now not call out CCU for not playing the CCG. Hope you enjoyed that ride for a couple weeks, cause it’s over.

To be fair, that's the fastest I've ever seen Bob Marlin run.

Look, 85% of Cajun fans want Bob Marlin gone. BirdofParadise isn’t one of them, but the casual fan and even diehards are over the Bob Marlin era. So go ahead and pile on all you want, not many fans will defend him.

Women’s soccer will outdraw MBB this season.

So you are saying it was BOP who flipped the light switch in the last 8 seconds?

As usual, the SBC released a lame statement regarding the ending of the Little Rock game. Bland!

Whatever there’s a game tomorrow. I hope the guys come out extra motivated and split the road trip!

I feel bad for Little Rock, that sort of ending wouldn’t fly in an High School game, that fact that it just ended after that shenanigans is unbelievable.

Isn’t this a back-to-back, like all the others? So they’re playing tonight again right? How hard is it for the Conference to figure this out? They already said it’s wrong in the press release...

Just replay the last 6 seconds before tonight’s game. Normally, you never have a convenient chance to fix something like this. But here it is... same home court, same players in lineups... Just start tonight with a redo, then break 20 minutes before game 2.

Let’s see if ULaLa offers, being of such high moral ground and all.

I’m giving them credit for actually being smart enough to realize the opportunity exists, I’d guarantee at least one AD employee on their side probably has said “Hey, we could always just redo... umm, am I gonna get fired for this?”

This is their chance to show what top notch gentlemen they are, or, say to their “ducking” Coastal friends, “Hold my beer...”

While I agree that play should have been stopped by the officials, I’ll use a line by your fans... “Well, it is the conference’s decision. Not ours. Sorry.”

Directly interfering with the visiting team and then quickly running off the court. Pretty classy. It’s almost as if it was planned that way.
