RE: ODU @ NSU
He's taken 7 three pointers this year. We should not gauge him based on that.
But if the staff believes Hunter and Strothers are similar in ability to help the team, Hunter certainly should get those minutes.

Every time I see Strother's name I think of Lamont Strothers, Suffolk native, CNU alum and one of the greatest D3 players of all time.

Couple things stood out.
Related to Green's struggles and it being in his head. He shot a 3 at same time a violation occurred. It went in and he reacted like really, I finally make one and it doesn't count. i think if he gets out of his way, sees a few go in, he could be reliable scorer again. I'm no expert, but his mechanics look good. It seems completely about lack of confidence/thinking too much.
Strothers hit a 3 in 2nd. Jones had a great reaction. Maybe reading too much into it, but looked like relief that he finally got first one to go; the lid is off.
I agree with this assessment. He just needs a few to go in to get a feel for it. What kills me is shot selection. When he takes fadeaway 17ft jumpers with lateral movement relative to the basket and 2 guys defending him, that's most likely gonna end up clunking against the rim. If he took higher percentage shots he'd get out of his head faster and onto the stat sheet sooner.
Yes absolutely. Definitely not best shots when you are on fire, but when you are full on struvgling, just digs the lack of confidence hole deeper.
He needs to pick his shots and not force it. He is shooting at the rate of a main scorer. He just needs to pick his shots and let the game come to him.
This. He would be fine if he wasn't attempting as many shots as anyone on the team.

I’d be happy with no fade aways. That’s a tough shot for most NBA players.

Where is John Shanu II ? 6'10" I see on roster listed for ODU. Is he still on team?

Yeah, but dude's a freshman. O'Connell is still on the team too, but they haven't really earned anything more than garbage minutes yet.

Kalu averages the most attempts per 100 possessions at 19.8. Curry is at 18. Those 2 are the primary "shot takers" on the squad.
Well behind them are Trice- 12.9, Green 10.9, Reece 10.5. Oliver is at 7 (this needs to increase)

Ezikpe leading the team in attempts surprises me. I guess whenever he gets in the game he is either shooting or fouling. If he could stay out of foul trouble he might be our leading scorer. I still think Green takes too many and should be more picky. He and Oliver should trade places.

Yeah if that’s the case an annual rivalry would be a good idea. As much as we like to think we are better than them... and there is certainly truth to that, you need to follow the ratings.

30K on TV + 17K on the stream * however many people on average per TV set or stream? That’s not nothing, especially for midweek. I think there were CUSA football games on the NFL Network that didn’t get that many.
