MLB has limited all Major league teams to only 4 minor league teams. Meaning several towns that have supported baseball for decades could find themselves without a team.

Jackson, TN has already been informed they are losing their affiliation with MLB. The past few years they have been the AA team for Arizona. The latest version of the Jackson Generals actually started as the old Memphis Chicks club.

Right, what was that guy's name that was such a jerk, started with the Chicks and helped Jackson get the minor league park?

Was he really a jerk? He tried to get a new stadium and the city refused to build one. Then as soon as he moves the team community leaders in the city decided to come together and build a new stadium.

Sure the "city" didn't build it but they did do more for this new group than they ever did for him.

I don't know the reason but maybe it was because he was a jerk as was previously stated?

Maybe it was because Memphis is a Cardinals town, and they had a promise to get the AAA Cards team - outside of Hersch's ownership group.
And it proved to be the right move.
