I based my picks off reading the CUSA message board and hearing from fan bases who want to be in the Sunbelt. Not a mythical wishlist of schools we should pluck who’s fans have shown no interest.

Marshall fans want to be with App State. If realignment doesn’t force a change here in about 4-5 years then I’d say we are stuck in CUSA forever. I’ve accepted that is mostly likely the scenario, so in the mean time we will just have to play OOC games against one another.

Marshall and APP in the same conference makes all the sense in the world, and APP fans would welcome it, but realignment doesn’t seem its going to happen anytime soon, even if we all go bankrupt

You're fondness of one another is cute but GS would like a say in the matter. If Marshall misses any possible opportunity to rejoin App and GS and Troy their rolling over and giving up to the failed marketz experiment. Get back to where you came from. There going forward without you and you laid the gowned work for it to happen. It would be a shame to see you languish on this island you find yourself.

You have to align yourself with universities that serve the student in the same way.

If the student athletes were actually the main priority I feel then geography should the biggest factor so they miss less class time therefore merge and spilt the two into 2 or 3 regional conferences and be done with it.

Agree. Presidents and AD's talk a lot about missed class time being a priority. One would think that along with the financial hit we've all taken might actually push realignment along.

Lol took the words right out of my mouth.

Marshall joined CUSA in 2005 which was long before Banowsky's market scheme to replace the schools that left for the AAC in 2014-15.

Vanderbilt, Stanford, Northwestern, TCU, Tulsa, Georgia Tech and many others will disagree with your assertion

Have a good friend who was on the staff just let go at Vandy (has a shot of being retained). After hearing about all the restrictions the school puts on the program I don't see any way they ever win more than 4 games in the SEC, which they've only done twice since 2000.
