We beat UTA twice, ULM beat ASU twice. The other 4 two game series resulted in splits. Pretty good weekend for us considering we played without the league’s best point guard.

I went to both games. Ben looked like the player we know he is, a 1st team all conference performance. Ruot and Maric are a load inside, today, Andric looked like a good SBC point guard. Bankston and Palermo looked solid as well. There were some great moments and great basketball this weekend and some that show we could use some work. But all in all 2-0 without Nowell is exceptional. If Darrell can get Marquis on the same page as everyone else, I think another conference title is very possible and it’s possible without him as well.

We lost twice because we are not very good... like we are really...really bad.

Only 2 teams are 2-0. Us and ULM. We travel to Louisiana who got a split at home with Texas State. UL 83-77 OT, TSU 71-59.

According to chiefsfan ULM won 2 at home against a bad asu team, 84-72 and 62-55. ULM has UTA coming to town.

I was concerned Friday when I saw all the players UTA brought and we had only 10 scholarship players. I thought their numbers would wear us out Friday and they would have more fresh legs Saturday. UTA threw 13 players at us both games. We played 9 Friday and only 8 Saturday. I think our win Saturday was more impressive.
