i'm sure that you'll find some Cougar fans who would want him back, but there is major bad blood with how LTH treated UH in his last year there. I, for one, don't trust ANYTHING that comes out of that guy's mouth. And, this is after having had a major man crush on him when he elevated our program to national relevance.

greg ward had technically already turned it around before he arrived....and the defense was recruited by levine..

he hasnt reached a similar level of success since...despite better recruit rankings recurits ...

tom is a great coach and was turning things around in texas. texas is just a diva and doesnt have the patience needed. do i prefer herman over holgs? sure. however, i wouldn't take him back because there is bad blood now and he will dip at first sight of a new gig with any blue blood program.
not worth it. i'd stick with the mad mullet in this case.

Now that Tulane have offensive pieces in place, I would love Herman for a two year pit stop. We don't have a need at HC/OC, though.

Also Houston: We just hired a guy who went 4-8 and 3-5

Houston can't afford to buy-out Holgs for a few years...

Herman will do a couple of years in the Booth.

In two or three years? Yeah, I could see Herman rejoining UH to see if he can get his mojo back.

If not Houston, then there will be no shortage of other Texas schools looking to rebuild their programs.

Thats me. Id take him back in an instant. But we arent eating 8 or 9 million to opt out of 3 more long years of Dana. I think Dana will be here for at least 2 more years. So---lets just hope Dana starts giving a crap cuz I have a sneaking suspicion Dana's heart just isnt 100% committed to doing the work required to get to 9-12 win seasons anymore.
