Only thing that will salvage my mood is to have ND and Ohio State utterly embarrassed

I was happy that we competed well but so pissed the game IMO UC lost on their own mistakes and plays.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Kelly is a great coach and I appreciate everything he did for our program. That said, he's struggled in the big games on the big stage and that continues tonight. Of course, they were what, two plus td dogs?

BK is clearly the best coach ND has had since Lou Holtz left, and one of the top 5 in the country. His program is just a bit short of the Big 3, but everybody else's is too.

I believe that ND's academic and character standards, while greatly reduced, are still a bit above those of the SEC schools, and that does make a difference at the margins.

They get an unfair benefit of the doubt every single ******* year due to their special circumstances.

I love watching them get run off the field... yet again... in the CFP.

They get the $$$ to be the sacrificial lamb way too often. The charade of them being compete either has been more than exposed. Time to spread the wealth.

I kind if enjoy ND being overrated every year and then getting embarrassed on national television. It's sort of like the Cowboys for me where most of their fan base only likes them because they were good 30 years ago.

It's no mystery; the powers that be want the teams with the largest fanbases in the playoff. You'll see the same same thing with Texas when have a plausible contender. The ideal is a playoff with OSU (or Penn St.), ND, Alabama (or Florida) and Texas.

I would prefer UC got the extra couple million and additional recruiting boost to get rolled by Bama every year.

While no doubt a factor, I just don't think Notre Dame has the allure for HS kids that it once did... particularly all these blue chip kids coming out of the South. If you are a 5-star from Georgia or Texas you are going to pick Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc. over Notre Dame every day of the week.

Yeah, it's just enough to be a slight handicap, which is why I can say BK is a Top 5 coach even though he hasn't won it all. Michigan is in a similar situation, and I'd say BK > Harbaugh.

It’s all bull**** that advances the narrative . Kelly gets who he wants and they let let them in. He has an exemption list.

I think he gets a limited number of exceptions, not an entire roster like Saban.

Total ND...

Alabama used a vanilla playbook to limit film for Clemson and Kelly scores a garbage time TD to lose 31-14.

That was a butt whipping.

Now Clemson is going to score 55 on OSU.

Saban doesn’t need an entire roster...he gets the same number of idiots Kelly does. He’s just better with them. Christ, ND goes after most of the kids Alabama signs. Same with that academic bastion Ohio State.

Kelly’s system looks really dated when they play real teams.

The wet dream for the powers that be would have been to make ND and OSU play a play in game for the fourth spot. Would have been the highest rated game of the year except the actual championship, or maybe even higher.

Kelly's system looks different from what he was running here. The old system actually seemed to work better.
