1. Big 12 43.97
2. SEC 46.62
3. Big 10 53.10
4. Indies 54.89 (helped not having UConn and NMSU)
5. Pac 12 56.28
6. ACC 59.45
7. AAC 69.06
8. SB 72.13
9. MAC 73.24
10. MWC 76.23
11. CUSA 94.70
Shows 4 of the G5 pretty close together.
To me, this shows the limitations of this year's MC, as the SEC was easily the best P5 conference, while the SBC was the best G5 conference.
Its not clear to me that the SEC was the best P5 conference, although they may have been.
I don't see how the SEC wasn't easily the best. It played nine OOC games and won 7 of them, all against ranked opponents.
I note that of the MC computers, the Big 12 is ranked #1 by 10 of them, the SEC is ranked #1 by 16 of them. The SEC is dragged down by crazy results, while only 1 computers has the Big 12 ranked 5th or lower, six computers have the SEC ranked 5th or lower, a completely nonsensical result.
The Big 12 was good, it won two NY6 bowl games and went 4-0 overall vs other P5. But it went just 4-3 vs G5.
Bottom line: The SEC went 7-2 in FBS games, all of which were against CFP final top 25 teams. All of them.
Not counting FCS, the Big 12 went 8-3 in FBS games overall, where six where against ranked teams and 5 were not.
SEC beat the 3, 4, 8, 11, 13, 23 and 24 ranked teams in the CFP final rankings. The Big 12 beat the 7, 18, 24, and 25 teams.
Throw out Alabama, and the SEC roster of teams it beat were better than the Big 12s.
IMO, that's no comparison.
