Peach. Georgia already has 11 starters opting out of playing. Georgia has a lot of depth, but it might also indicate the attitude towards playing of the whole team.

RE: NY6
Any news on how limited attendance will impact the payout from contract bowls to the contract-bowl conferences? Or the $4 million (+$2million team expenses) for at large / non-contract-bowl-conference-champ slots.

TV $$$ should be the same

Good question. The Liberty Bowl Director talked about bowl payouts dropping by 20-30% in some instances. This was before bowls starting cancelling. He said bowl directors regularly zoom and cited sponsor shortfalls and attendance limitations when talking about lower revenue projections. He didn’t specifically address CFP games, but they are facing the same challenges.

We're just going to have to wait until the conferences report their disbursements next spring/summer to know what money was paid out by TV for the regular season and bowls.

What happens if COVID strikes a semifinalist? All I recall is that there would not be substitutions, but don’t know if the higher seed advances or what.

RE: NY6
I believe the "Rose" Bowl is scheduled to kick off at 4pm ET this year as opposed to the usual 5pm ET if is was in California. Being a Big Ten guy I love the game in Pasadena but I love an earlier Rose Bowl which should get the Sugar Bowl on earlier which is meaningful this year because these are the big games. At least there's something good about the pandemic and the game not being played in Pasadena.

All we need to do is get the Rose Bowl to move the game up earlier permanently. Having the Sugar Bowl end way after midnight is ridiculous, especially when the games are the semifinals. Either that or I just need to move to California when I retire ... or now.

My assumption would be they'd delay the game(s).

RE: NY6
I would assume the COVID affected team would have to forfeit and their opponent would advance. The stickier wicket would be what if both teams didn't have enough players available. Would the other semifinal become the de facto championship?
