... let's never do anything like that again. Holy ****. That thing takes 20 seconds to load if nobody is on. I see it routinely take over 500 seconds to load in the slow query logger. And joy of joys it's popular with search engines. That thread is still here, but until further notice only visible to mods/admins. It probably needs to be split into at least 4 more threads from its original self.

Once we are in the ACC, there will be no need for that thread anymore.

The problem turned out to be bots (see announcement), but when I logged in the three most recent slow query logs were all for that original realignment thread. One of them took 521 seconds (!!!!!!!!!!) to complete.
