Chris Robison, former FAU record setting QB is entering transfer portal.

I am curious where he ends up. I wonder if another D1 program takes a risk on him.

PS >> You have to admit he showed class in his announcement, giving credit to FAU, his team mates, the AD, and the former coach. He did not mention current head coach, Taggert.

PS 2 >> No mention of why he was removed.

This is interesting. I simply thought he had graduated, and that's why he wasn't playing.

Why is he a risk?

Crazy how he's a record-setting QB and didn't play at all this season.

I doubt a team/school would be able to keep this guy under control, but he is good.

Good luck to any school willing to take a flyer on this clown. My guess is an fcs school or maybe a Sunbelt school would be willing to risk it.

Texas State would take the kid in a heartbeat.

A smarter route for Robison might have been to transfer to LA Tech, and play under Skip Holtz, and prepare for the NFL. Holtz did a great job with two other QB transfers --Cody Sokol, a transfer from Iowa in 2014, and Jeff Driskel, a transfer from Florida in 2015. Holtz managed to resurrect both of their careers, and both had outstanding seasons. Driskel is still in the NFL today, although he was cut by Denver last week. (But I believe he will still catch on elsewhere.)

Say what we will, but Holtz is pretty good about getting his players to the NFL.

He doesn’t need to have his career resurrected like Driskel. He needs to stay away from girls/parties/alcohol and focus on football. That’s why he was dismissed from OU and FAU.

I doubt any school is interested unless he drops down to JUCO for a year. He was obviously too good to do that so he will try his luck in the CFL and hope an NFL team signs him after.

I personally liked Jeff Driskel's baby brother. He did rather well at FAU. He may not have been as talented as Robison, but he had a whole lot more going on upstairs.
