Noticed Steven Williams went from QB, to WR, and now Linebacker. He is now 6-4, 226lbs. Also...this overall roster looks in general like we are bigger (Taller and heavier) at most positions.

Stevie's playing a hybrid LB and safety. He will need to bulk up some more but I've heard positive things about this position change.

Im guessing he will play something similar to Will in the NFL or the college ranks call it several different names. Its basically 5th defensive back/3rd linebacker. Bc teams only put speed on the field, defenses have stopped putting 3 linebackers on the field at a time. He will be asked to do a lot of coverage over the middle of the field but needs to be ready for run support.

David Washington is the only other player I can think of who has been anywhere near as willing to do whatever it takes to help the team as Steven Williams. From QB to WR and now LB, he has done whatever the coaches have asked. I hope he has a great year.

SW is a great athlete and should definitely be on the field. Glad to hear.

Exactly. If you have a versatile athlete you find him a place.

Yes. I have to admire his attitude and determination.

And adaptability.

He seems to be a good kid and I'm glad to see him working for a spot.

Good to hear about his progression. It is great to have a player with that caliber of intangibles. David Washington was one of our best all-around players, and I am very enthusiastic about Steven Williams stepping up to that level. Hope he has a strong performance next season.
