I’m excited to see Eidness step up to the plate and see what he can do with his new versatile toy. Everything I read about him when the hire was announced touted his strength as being his ability to customize his Offense to the strength of his players, and specifically the players that create unique matchup problems for the opposing Defense.
I personally would like to see Bowers return, but everything points to that not being the case. So, seeing that we’ll likely have a more dual-threat at the QB position and the inherent advantages that brings as far as game-planning against a Defense plus the development of young players who gained experience this past half-season, plus now the addition of this experienced “superback” the table is set.
Next season is the time to show what you can do and start living up to the expectations created when this new OC was announced. To say that it’s been disappointing to this point, is being kind but can be chalked up to growing pains. That excuse will start to wear thin soon if noticeable improvements aren’t made this upcoming season.
GO NIU HUSKIES!

See the thread "NIU lands Grad Transfer RB from WIU" lower down the first page of the board. Ton of comments there on the same guy.
