It's really cool to see how much notoriety and visibility Old Dominion is getting in producing Taylor Heinecke. Everybody loved him sports commentators, athletes, and Tom Brady!!!!

The 2 drops, the phantom holding call on the 25 yard scramble, and the non-PI call all effectively killed drives that looked promising. You can only control what you can control. Bottom line is TH went toe to toe with Tom Brady and looked like he belonged on the same stage. Really hope someone gives him a shot going in as a starter next season, even if it is a bad team. Was thinking last night he might do well with Pittsburgh if Big Ben retires. They have a cap problem and could trade Mason Rudolph along with Ben retiring, pick up TH for a fraction, get a star receiver, and get a Najee Harris type in the draft. Could potentially land in Indy or NO as well if Rivers and/or Brees retire.

Good possibilities mentioned, but I believe that he will stick with WFT (specifically Turner). He knows that system best, WFT has a QB need, and the WFT fans have fallen in love with him and his "grit."

If TH has any choice in the matter, he will likely want to go where he gets paid the most, which will be somewhere willing to bring him in as a starter. I'm sure he hopes that place is Washington, but if he has the opportunity to go somewhere else and start and get paid, that is what he will do. From Ron's comments it sounds like WFT wants to go after a veteran like a Stafford or a Watson and if that is the case TH would be a backup if he stays there. And maybe nobody tries to bring TH in as a starter and it turns out WFT is the best place for him. We'll see.

All good solid points, agree.

Cleared out all the political talk. I don’t care what side you are on. This isn’t the place.

It is very unlikely that a team will consider Heinicke a QB1 because he has never played more than a quarter in an NFL game in which he did not have a significant injury. He is not durable enough to be the No. 1 guy, but he has shown that he can be a highly productive QB2 when called upon in a game.

Yeah, I think best case is WFT decides to draft someone and roll out with TH and Allen and let the best man win while the other QB develops. (unless they really like Montez)

He is too injury prone to be a #2. He seems to get hurt every time he plays. Granted he has a great skill set to be a qb in the NFL...durability does matter.

If he sticks with the team next year, I may have to splurge on an over-priced Jersey.

While that has some truth to it, if a decent OL can give him some protection he can get them some lead and doesn't have to risk like that in every game and the chances of injury go down with it. TH is tough kid he will be fine with a decent Line guarding him and he has that elusiveness to him so he isn't gonna need that much from the OL.

heinicke gets props
Heinicke gets major props on Pardon the Interruption on ESPN Monday night. You’d think our former ODU QB was the second coming of Broadway Joe. They were raving about him during the segment on Washington’s playoff game. But the conclusion at the end of the segment was that Taylor will not be starting QB next year. I disagree.

Hell have to earn it in camp but he absolutely will be in a camp after that performance and that’s to his advantage because they’ll get to see it wasn’t a fluke.

The Redskins have one of the best OL. You cannot protect your QB consistently and over the entire game.

That is my point. TH isn't a stare down and take your sweet time QB so if a team can put a decent OL in front of him he can get the things done and if the OL is one of the best he can do better things with even a sub par WR core.
