Biggest surprise? Biggest disappointment? (pre-conference edition)
We're 9 games in, with a 6-3 record and riding a 3-game winning streak.
Conference games loom, but what has been your biggest surprise this season?
What's been your biggest disappointment?
Of course, everything's in flux, so we'll circle back at season's end, but for now, what are y'all thinking?

Biggest surprise -
Sims, without a doubt. He was in my dog house last year and has completely turned his game around. I doubt he can keep his numbers up as others step up and we become more balanced, but i'm impressed.
Pridgen - What a gamer. Stepped right in and became a leader on this team from day one. His impact has been Flemming like for Siddle and this team
Biggest disappointment -
Steere. I had high hopes for him coming in and making a huge impact.
Phillips - IMO, the most important player on this team. I had him ending this year as a 1st or 2nd team All CAA player. Disappointed he has this freak injury that has kept him off the court.

RE: Biggest surprise? Biggest disappointment? (pre-conference edition)
Biggest surprise- Joe Pridgen. He’s playing great ball- he is terrific on both ends. I expected Sims to progress and was good last year, but lacked confidence to dominate off the dribble like now- getting better defensively. Harvey has been a surprise too with his versatility-will be a really good player, Uber talented. He’s already a good 2-way guy. Ty and Mike have done a good job on both ends. Bowens has improved some.
Biggest disappointment was not having at least Gadsden against ECU because we would not have gave up a big lead on the road like that. Like 82, I really miss not having Shykeim out there. I want to see Dodd out there taking the next step and Boggs to get his game consistent because both are very good players. I would love to see Brian get in there some and get his swag back- he can help a team with his energy and physical style.

Biggest surprise? Biggest disappointment? (pre-conference edition)
Biggest surprise to me was Dodd not seeing more court time in the first several games. Especially during non conference games, as that’s the time to get him PT and experience if you’re at all worried he needs it to make the next step. Flip side of that is I’m not a fan of having Bowen and Tolefree on the court at the same time, but surprisingly they played well. I still don’t think either bring much in terms of offense to the team, but their defense was far better than I thought it would’ve been.
Another big surprise was Joe Pridgeon’s eligibility. We all knew he was a stud coming here from Holy Cross. So I’m not surprised he was lighting up the court. The surprise factor with him was being able to get on the court this year. Small blessings in the COVID era, I suppose.
Biggest disappointment for me is agreeing with what’s already been said about Shy’s injury. This team needs him on the floor to be the best it can be. It’s sad he’s missing out on it, but hopefully he’ll be back soon. I think a more realistic timeframe though, is probably sometime in February. Infections are no joke and sometimes take significant time to recover from.
