Wow! Utah superstar freshman RB Ty Jordan is dead from an accidental gunshot wound. The gunshot wound was believed to have been self-inflicted and occurred in Denton, Texas last night.

I have ties to both the University of Utah, where my son-in-law played for Urban Meyer, and to Denton, Texas, having just moved from there a few months ago.

I saw that news earlier. Absolutely tragic. Was it an accidental shooting or homocide? I think his aunt had referenced jealousy when she posted about his passing, but it looks like the police are not suspecting foul play (though they are investigating).

The last report I saw said it was an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound. So, it sounds like he was handling a gun and accidentally fired it. He had such a promising future.
