That was sad looking special teams coverage by Houston on that return.

I hope Houston can get rid of Holgerson and get a good coach

Holgerson is Tommy Tuberville reincarnated

this has been pretty much houston all year just playing only half a game throughout the whole season.

im not even too upset though, we are missing about 15 players to include our receiving corps for this game.
he needs to find some way to motivate these players for a full game. all of these dropping out kind of has a discontent for the program thing going on.

Not sure why you are bringing me into this... sorry for being supportive of the team. I’m still waiting for you to call out tune for being a terrible qb.

wait no more because tune ain’t it ! , he seems to have gotten worse with each game, mybe he’s being coached wrong?, but his throwing accuracy is not very good at all, it was always to short or behind wide open receivers, true the passes that were on were dropped, but tune isn’t very good
so are you out drinking with danaoff123 tonight ?

Yeah, the AAC definitely did not reproduce last year's exceptional success. Last year, the AAC went a whopping 20-2 vs other G5 and Army/BYU regular season and bowls combined.

This year the AAC finished 8-8 versus those teams.

That's much more similar to 2018, when the AAC went 9-10 against those teams, and finished as the second-ranked G5 conference in the CFP pool.

Something different about this board lately. Some negativity to all things AAC related, that has not been here for a while. Can’t quite put my finger on it. Hmmmmm.

Meh.
Disappointing, don't get me wrong.

But looking solely at bowls is a bad way to judge overall conference strength. In general due to small sample size and variability (players sitting out, programs playing the young guys for next year vs rewarding seniors, etc).
This year's lack of ooc might give bowls greater perception or statistical influence. But this year has even greater than normal variability - Tulane was missing most of the D line, Houston was missing receiving corps.

Speaking of perception, Cincinnati, Tulsa, and to a lesser extent UCF vs BYU will impact perceptions more than the other three. 0 for 1 so far on those.

Aresco vs Thompson = AAC win

AAC FB team vs MWC FB team = MWC win

Good Luck the rest of the way.

Good Luck the rest of the way.

The season is rapidly closing for everyone. IIRC, the AAC has only two bowls left, the Armed Forces Bowl (Tulsa) and the Peach Bowl (Cincy). I think the MW only has one bowl game left.

It's been a year, LOL.
