Off on a tangent..
My grandson has been staying here since Saturday and most of his time has been spent playing the Call of Duty: Cold War..
I was watching him a little bit and couldnt help but wander what Russia thinks about the game, considering Russia has a large gaming population and CoD has always been a hugely popular game across the world.
They aren't liking it at all, according to the google search I did.
I've got the game. I haven't played the "campaign" which is where much of the Cold War story gets told. And that might not be favorable to the commies.
But on the "online multiplayer" option, you can actually choose between NATO and Warsaw Pact characters and weapons. Neither side is favored or slighted.

I watched an episode in Mexico dubbed in Spanish a few years ago.
But Germany? The show was based upon mocking the "dumb Germans".
Hopefully they don't start a war over it.

RE: 2021 begins now
Doubt seriously former east germans like it. The Germans who ended up in the western sector had to face their complicity in the rise of Hitler and the nazi regime. Not so those who ended up in the eastern sector. They became occupied by the Stalin regime which was very similar to nazism though they were very different economically. The Russian economy was of course soviet communism, while nazism was similar to China's authoritarian capitalism.

Who the hell has a Chancellor?
Germany
Every University in the United States has a Chancellor. It can be a president or a chief administrative officer of a university or a university system. At the UofM David Rudd even has a golden chain signifying him as Chancellor at all formal administrative functions (id est a graduation exercise). The German government and other European governments also have a Chancellor. The Chancellor of Germany is Angela Merkel. In the U.S. the presiding judge of a chancery court is also a Chancellor. All the boys down the alley want to be Chancellor.

David Rudd has absolutely no authority over the UofM AD as chancellor.
He is president.

I travel in former East Germany. They may not like it, but it is on the tele.

East Germans had to face their complicity in Nazism too.
Do you really think the Stalin regime would do otherwise?

Stalin was originally aligned with Hitler. He was betrayed, but he still believed in the holocaust and continued to persecute and kill jews long after WWII. So no East Germans were not expected to face up to Nazism, they were only expected to embrace Stalinism (not the same as Soviet Communism, Leninism, and especially not Marxism).

Imagine Biden gets in, and within 2 years they are rounding up "evil conservatives" and sending them to "re-education camps", where people whom resist "re-education" are deemed to be "destructive to society" and euthanized. Not saying it will, or is even likely, BUT WHAT IF IT HAPPENS.... THEN, are you saying all the democrat voters should be held responsible? Would they be complicit?

John Chancellor was a longtime network news anchor.

Say what? Yet, it’s the Republicans calling for violence over a free and fair democratic election while Biden is calling for unity. Maybe you should be asking yourself that last question.

No, I am not saying that at all.
What I am saying is when Germany was unified again, there wasn't some huge geographic disparity in what 1990s Germans thought of Nazism.

You don't think? I question whether many west-Germans (if that's even a term) were pro-nazi anyway, considering many were killed trying to escape over the wall/through the barbed wire, etc.
I guess my overall point is, I've always questioned people's insistence that citizens, and even people in the nazi military whom were prosecuted at Nuremburg, should have been thought of as eveil, or found guilty of war crimes. It's real easy for us "westerners" to sit back and judge from afar. We were not the ones being pressed into service by a gov. machine that would kill your family at the drop of a hat for not obeying orders.
But maybe I'm just becoming an old softy in my old age...

It's always interesting when the people who spent the last four years rioting, impeaching, and dragging people from their vehicles now call for unity. It doesn't really work that way.

Republicans are questioning what you call a "free and fair" election.
There's proof of extensive voter fraud.
The flat earthers say they have "Proof" that the world is flat as well.
I think you need to define what you call proof...Because no court agrees with you.
