NMSU will continue to practice at the Arizona Grand Resort. The only time NMSU will be on the GCU campus will be on gameday. GCU will be playing at the GCU Arena and NMSU will be playing at the Lopes smaller gymnasium. So, I doubt there will be a lot of interaction between the two programs outside of their two meetings.

Welcome Aggies! Happy to have you call GCU "home" temporarily. I think WBB got the better deal by getting the activity center. Definitely more seating in Antelope Gym so I guess that is why they put MBB there. Other than that, the activity center has better facilities.

Probably pretty accurate, given that both Antelope Gym & the activity center WBB will use are spread out from the arena. Still glad to see GCU stepping up to give the Aggies a temporary spot. I suspect the athletics administration will really be doing all they can to make it as enjoyable an experience for NMSU as possible.
Man the state of New Mexico is a joke. I really feel for the kids, the university, and all the fans. I just returned from Ruidoso and it should be a crime what the state government has done to the small businesses in these tourist towns! Really sad

NM bowl being played in Frisco Texas today.
Quote:Nonetheless, New Mexico Bowl sponsors such as Visit Albuquerque will support the game, advertise the city’s attractiveness as a place to live, work and play and encourage Texans and those watching the game to visit – of course, when things clear up.
Or come visit now and experience NM after a 14 day quarantine.
OT: Here's MLG's only regret:
Quote:However, her only regret she said is that she wasn’t able to influence Republican members in the National Governor’s Association to shut down their states as she did. “That’s something I really pride myself on, that I can bring people of different parties and different perspectives together, and I couldn’t do it at the federal level,” she added.
She also bemoaned her inability to convince Tribal governments to also follow her economy-killing mandates, saying “And I still have, you know, moments where I just feel poorly that I was unable to get other policymakers on the same page.”
Given the way GCU has been performing and the weird back-to-back game schedule, it means CBU and UVU will each have the chance to lose four times on that same court.

NMSU and GCU aren't both playing at GCU Arena.
Thanks for the correction. I now see that you've got practice/intramural courts comparable to some other schools' main ones.

I wish Chicago St could gift their arena to a WAC school in need so it could be put to good use. GCU on the other hand has done a good job with facility upkeep once GCU Arena showed up.

All that effort to protect those in New Mexico from Covid and yet Arizona and New Mexico have similar deaths per million population (AZ = 1,155; NM = 1,084) as of today. So you get basically the same amount of death with the added 'benefit' of a devastated economy. Go figure.

I stand corrected. It looks like NMSU is actually practicing at GCU when they get an opportunity; just to get a familiarity with the court and environment.
