Colangelo and Team USA played this afternoon before Team Canada's game with Russia. The US won 3-2.

RE: Devon Levi
Levi got his 3rd shutout of the tourney as Team Canada beat Team Russia 5-0 in the World Junior semi-finals.
Canada will face either the US or Finland for the championship. US plays tonight on NHL Network.
Levi is 5-0 with a 0.64 GAA and a 0.967 save percentage. He's also tied Justin Pogge's 2006 record for most shutouts in one World Junior tournament.
He's getting a TON of attention in this tourney. People are wondering how he was a 7th round pick of Florida. Meanwhile, Team USA and BC goalie Spencer Knight was the 13th overall pick in the draft... by Florida.
There will be a lot of storylines if the US wins and faces Canada. NU freshman Sam Colangelo is on Team USA.
***Update***
The US beat Finland to advance to the title game vs Canada Tuesday night. Should be fun!!

RE: Devon Levi
Levi fractured a rib in the WJR game against Germany.
There's a chance he may miss the season.
So Murphy is the man between the pipes for now.

RE: Devon Levi
He has accepted an invite to play for team Canada in the Olympics. Awesome opportunity for him and congrats. Hope he's able to see some game time.
Of course that means we lose our best most important player for most of February, which includes our chance at defending our 3x Beanpot title. Being on the NCAA tourney bubble will be a stretch goal unless we are pleasantly surprised by our backups who haven't seen a minute of time on the game ice this season.

Congratulations to Devon. Selfishly I’m not too thrilled he’s leaving NU again to play in international competition, but overall I’m happy for him to get the opportunity to showcase his talents.
