They went to the Big West last time. I wonder if they would be better off in the WAC at this point. The WAC is much more stable now. In fact, with its new membership moves, its possible the WAC may very well have more future potential than the Big West going forward.

If there would be a total of 4 teams added then I would expect it to be an addition for all sports. The AD at SDSU has been clear that a FB only invite is a non starter.

There better not be 4, especially not all-sports, unless one of them is BYU. With Boise and SDSU, you're already adding two teams with an average media price tag that is less than our per team average.

Believe me. I hope I'm wrong, or I hope the Cali legislature resends this law. But to date, no one has been able to show me why this law does not apply, and coming from Memphis' experience, we have first-hand knowledge that this DOES apply to collegiate sports team travel because it was an issue with our home game with UCLA.

I will have to go back and look, but this has been brought up and discussed periodically since the law went in. Bottom line, there are ways around it. Its not a deal killer.

Fair enough. When I get some time I will go back and look, but there are work arounds to address this BS law.

If you took my comment in an offensive way, believe me, I did NOT mean it that way. Sorry if it came across wrong. I just want people to stop saying "ehhh that's not real, and keep your politics off the sports board", which has been the common uneducated response around here. Whether or not it can be gotten around is A REAL BIG DEAL.

I'm confused. Some of these OOC series were contracted after 2017
UCLA travelling to Auburn in 2028
Stanford travelling to Vanderbilt in 2021 and 2033, TCU in 2027
Cal travelling to TCU in 2021, North Texas in 2023, Auburn in 2024
USC travelling to Mississippi in 2026

Is ESPN willing to pony up enough money to keep a 14 team AAC at the current $7 million dollars in a contract re-negotiation. Are all the additions for all sports. The AAC needs one all sports school for a 12 school conference or 3 all sports teams for a 14 school conference.
