On paper, Memphis didn't have much reason to show up. The season was disappointing coming off last year's championship, and it was a makeshift bowl in the middle of Alabama a couple days before Christmas. But show up they did, and they took care of business handily.

Props to Memphis.

This was not a very good Memphis football team compared to Tiger squads of the past few years. The losses on offense (Gainwell, Coxie and Williams) were too difficult to overcome. The defense was mediocre (at best) all season.

But this team never quit and showed some heart and hustle. And Brady White was a star. I was proud of them.

As to the AAC being 1-3 in bowls so far ... not good.

yeah, when a world-wide pandemic causes you to lose your two breakout players (Gainwell/Coxie) on offense you kinda take what you can get.

and not counting the mighty SFA lumberjacks, we only beat one team with a winning record by one point because of a shanked easy field goal. that team with a winning record that we happened to beat got obliterated by BYU.

Ive seen 6-5 teams with less talent that could beat this years team. But 8-3 and inaugural Gump bowl champs over a taggert coached FAU team. woo hoo.

As a Tulsa fan, you should look at your own team. Tulsa recent record: 4 wins in 2019, 3 wins in 2018 and 2 wins in 2017. And what's your fan base - 10K ???

Tulsa brings zero to the AAC table.

I wasn't picking on anybodies team. I was defending our team.

I just found it odd that a fan of a team that hasn't had a winning record for several years until this year, is bagging on us. Especially in a game we won handily while covering the spread.

As for USF, we're all rooting for you guys to turn it around. Even UCF fans for the most part. It's good for the rivalry, and it's good for the conference.

We just signed our best recruiting class in history, and added two 4-star transfers from Mich State and a 4 star stud QB from AZ, who has already kicked azz in the P5.

Are you still mad about those stupid BLM stickers that nobody on earth could see? Am I going to have to listen to this for the entire off season?
