Terrible play call. If you want to put the ball in Tronti's hands with a fake, fake a dive so the D is crashing inside. The fake was lateral, so Tronti moving left was uncovered

why take a knee on the 4 yard line.

Memphis better cover.

Actually, we figured out how to play D after the UCF game, with the exception of Cincinnati game.

We put in a new system, from a 4-3 to a 3-4. Took awhile to adjust, but we have played better on D in the second half of the season than we have in years.

Of course, FAU isn't very good, either.

Beat 7th ranked Auburn in 1975 at Jordan-Hare, I can't recall another.

Definitely some things to be optimistic about Memphis going forward. They had to deal with losing a great coach, some huge playmakers opting out, a rookie coach finding his way, and still ended up having a good season. I had some serious doubts about Silverfield midway thru this season, but he has eased some of those concerns since then. Finding a replacement for White will be the real challenge next year.

Memphis is a team that trended downward as the season went on, but IMO that is even more true of FAU. They haven't won a game since before Thanksgiving, haven't beaten an FBS team in five weeks, and that was FIU, who hardly counts.

We beat AL at Tuscaloosa? No it was in Memphis...surely we beat UAB in AL.
