wasn't sure if i watched a game or a BYU highlight reel. i mean there probably would have been no difference between the two.
i mean the beating they took made me questions things going on in my life and i wasn't even on the field that day. im sure there were a lot of grown men crying afterwards.

Hopefully UCF gets back on track next year. I understand the frustration a lot of fans have with Huepel.
BYU was missing two NFL-hopeful starting olineman (C Empey and G Barrington) and one of our starting DBs (CB Wilcox). I'm sure they're justifying the opt out now after seeing starting oline Hoge go down with a bad-looking knee injury in the second half.
Also, Offensive Coordinator (Coach Grimes) and Oline Coach (Coach Mateos) were out because of COVID protocols.
Game plan - especially 3rd down on both sides of the ball - looked really good for BYU last night. Both BYU's offense and the defense played well.
I'm happy we played UCF in the bowl game and have them again on the future schedules a couple of times. Quality program and good sportsmanship on both sides all night.
BYU's backup center (Jr- Joe Tukuafu 6' 4" 301/converted TE) went down in the first quarter also, enter 3rd string true freshman Connor Pay 6' 5" 300. I was really impressed with how well he stepped up, he did have some game experience playing in 7 different games this season before the bowl.
I believe So- George Udo 6' 1" 210 DB/LB was not available for the game either, he had played in all 11 games with 3 starts this season.

I was impressed by BYU's size and athleticism all year. The way they trampled Navy 100 days or so ago was how Notre Dame looks when they trample Navy - just too big, too strong, too fast. And that continued all year.
UCF of course has plenty of good athletes themselves, that's why this bowl looked to be one of the very best on the card, period, P5 or G5. Unfortunately it did not work out that way.
