The Chicken Flu
The Chicken flu is rampant in South Carolina. The Gamecocks have joined the Beach Chickens as victims; withdrawing from their bowl vs UAB because of covid.

For a team ravaged by COVID as ULL was, you'd think they'd be a bit more understanding.

Reading comprehension is a good thing. Note that my statement was one of simple fact. At no point in my post did I make any value judgement regarding either USC or Coastal.
That you took umbrage is a reflection on you and your attitude.

I would expect to see a lot more bowl cancellations over the next few weeks. I wouldn't even be surprised to see some of the playoff teams to have some COVID issues.

They seem to forget that. Should be hard to judge a team for the same thing you did. Lets just get through this crazy year. We canceled and the coach and AD wouldn't say how many was out.

What’s gonna happen now to UAB? Won the C-USA championship and now faces the possibility of no bowl game.

Thanks for the clarification Rok. This was what I wondering. Not a big window for a replacement.

The only games the Cajuns did not play this year were both canceled by covid issues with the opposing team, UCA and CCU. For the CCU regular season game, the Cajuns were missing 6 starters on the defensive side of the ball, but the game was still played.

Wrong again.
Quote:No. 24 Louisiana Football's home finale against Central Arkansas on Saturday, Nov. 21, has been canceled due to COVID-19 positive tests and contract tracing within the program.
The Ragin' Cajuns did not hold practice Tuesday, Nov. 17, and will attempt to resume normal operations on Saturday, Nov. 21.
A total of 33 student-athletes are in the program's COVID-19 safety protocol, which is a combination of contact tracing, isolation, quarantine and recovering cases.
"We are disappointed we will be unable to play Central Arkansas on Saturday," said Director of Athletics Bryan Maggard. "We knew this season was going to require a lot of patience and flexibility and disruptions were likely to occur. The health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and staff is always the primary focus."
