PAC-16: Hawaii, UNLV, BSU, UNM
"New" SWC: Houston, SMU, Tulane, CSU, BYU, Rice
Great Lakes Conference: Cincinnati, Notre Dame
ACC: UCONN, Memphis, Temple
SEC: Tulsa, Marshall

TBH: ran out of reasonable invites for SEC

Leftovers merge into 2 conferences.

SWC: Add UTSA, UTEP, North Texas, TX St., Tulsa

ACC: Replace UConn with Coastal Carolina or App. State

--ACC doesn't need another poor FB/good BB school like UConn.

SEC: Add Louisiana and Appalachian State

Bring back the original Big East (transfer 7 or 8 ACC teams back to BE), add Temple, Rutgers, & Penn State

Replace Rutgers, Penn State, & Maryland in Big Ten with schools from Great Lakes Conference

Move TAMU, Mizzou, Nebraska, & Colorado back to the Big 12 and change the name to "Big 14."

Bring Maryland back to the ACC.

Not Kaplony, but I think 5 x 14 would be enough to kill off the possibility of a legitimate 6th football conference.

Pac-12 + San Diego St, Boise St
Big XII + Houston, Memphis, Cincinnati, UCF

BYU stays independent - For the Pac-12 not wanting to invite them, they don't seem to have any issues with scheduling them.

Notre Dame stays independent - Their egos must be larger than ever after running through the ACC undefeated until embarrassing themselves in the conference championship game and STILL making the CFP.

After that, MW & AAC will have taken too many hits - They would really struggle to backfill with programs that can generate buzz in revenue sports.

Yeah that would basically kill the AAC— which frankly would make a lot of people happy. AAC would be down to Navy, SMU, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa, ECU and USF. Navy goes back to Indy in that scenario leaving the other six. Even if they backfill, ESPN offers them a new deal that is worth $1-1.5M a year at best. Some of those schools may decide to join the MWC or the SBC if that would occur.
