After rubbing and gazing lovingly into my crystal balls, I am sadly predicting that Toledo beats the Huskies by 16 points.

I'd prefer some more talk and phots of their old tubby football coach. I read once he used to cook BBQ at stadium for players. Really hated him but garnered new respect after that.

As this is a BB thread, I'd prefer not to load this up with the many pictures I have of Tom Amstutz. However, here is a picture of Toledo Tom in front of the entrance to the University of Toledo. This is one of the rare photos of Tom without his gym teacher's whistle (though I think it may be buried under his shirt).

This is so damn embarrassing and depressing. In football, we have an excuse. A new coach who is tearing down and rebuilding the program. What's the excuse for basketball? That we have a coach who can't recruit and coach? For 10 years?? How long do you think this ineptitude would last in the corporate world?

In the Kenpom rankings this week, we are #302 out of 357. I guess things could be worse, but, certainly not much.

Lucky we don't have to pay money for tickets to watch this dumpster fire this year. See? There's always something positive in the abyss of gloom.

My concern is that anyone who donated sport specific funds to the men's BB team, will be inadvertently helping to fund Monty's next contract extension.
