I thought their hands were tied with the SEC contract. The NCAA should have required bowl conference deals null for this year and let the sub-6 win teams fill in gaps after all the ones that actually qualified got in. Instead they removed the win limit this year.

The NCAA has shown a lack of institutional control over football.

Army is a smart play by the bowl. It will draw TV eyes. Butts in the stand won't matter this year due to COVID restrictions. This was a smart move by the bowl management.
