Or the naysaying on coastal and byu was unwarranted. Both were damn good teams.

Anyone who watched BYU play and thought "they would struggle with ECU" clearly were trying to find reasons to not like the teams vs being objective.

Meh. Exhibition game. Looks to me like an unmotivated, unranked 6-3 team against a Top 20ish, 10-1 team that is pissed it blew a shot at the NY6.

So basically the same argument we're bitching about people potentially saying about us should we beat Georgia. Got it.

Huh? I don't think I've been negative about our football team in a long while. I'm slightly perturbed that you'd even suggest that honestly.

I'm negative about the landscape of college football, and the fact that we know that same argument you just threw out will be used to delegitimize a win by some people who have an agenda against having a team like ours get the credit they rightfully deserve.

RE: 2020 Bowl Season
Defensively this UCF team was missing a lot of pieces this year- opt outs, injuries and suspensions. Monitoring recruiting JH is simply not brining in the dudes that George O’Leary and Scott Frost did. This is the biggest difference between the UCF from a few years ago vs today.

Props to BYU, they looked really good. UCF looked like they quit very early in this one.

Yeah, before they even got off the bus.

Maybe I misread your post but it seemed it was directed at me. I haven't bitched or fussed about our state of the football program becasue I appreciate what was accomplished in a most difficult year. I attended UC from 1986 to 1992 and football [including the facilities] was never in the conversation and was a shell of where we are now. So I appreciate any opportunity we have to build our brand and national recognition up a peg or two - compared to some who seem to only gravitate to negativity with our circumstances with the AAC, CFP, NY6 Bowl opponent, coaches leaving, etc. It's what some UC fans choose to do ad nauseam and they are missing out on the good things to feel positive and proud about our program.

I calls 'em like I sees 'em and last night was clear to me that UCF was not mentally, emotionally or physically up for the game. It was in their body language and in their poor level of play. I don't see a comparison of a "Taco Bell" type bowl where one team is ranked and the other has limped through the end of the year compared to a NY6 bowl played in prime time on January first with two teams ranked #8 and #9 in the CFP rankings. If you saw the bowl pregame video I posted in the Peach Bowl thread coach Kriby Smart is going to have his players ready to play - unlike Josh Heupel. Fans are going to say what they want to say depending on the result of the game. I'm not going to waste one minute worrying about any of that nonsense. We are playing a top, respected SEC program in front of a national audience and I want to play well and hopefully come out with a victory no matter how we get it.

Memphis despite 3 turnovers wins 25-10 to make AAC 1-2. Need UH to beat Hawaii tomorrow, who is the dirtiest team in football.

Coogs down 15-20 guys due academics

Houston will be without "15 to 20 players" due to eligibility requirements, coach Dana Holgorsen said during his Tuesday appearance on 97.5 FM. "I think some kids forgot if they fail classes it didn't go against GPA but it goes against being bowl eligible."
