So far, it seems to be working well for us. We may be losing some decent players, but they're going to smaller schools where they can be more competitive right out of the gate. Likewise, it looks like we're the beneficiary of the same mindset as some of these P5 players are seeing the same opportunities with us. All I know is when I got on 247 recruiting and look at this class I'm seeing some stars out there. I am old enough to remember when the Tigers picking up a handful of 3 star players was big news, now it looks like that's the vast majority of our recruiting class with some 4 stars sprinkled in there.

I went back to 02 and looked at the average classes. Back then our average class was low .71-.72 range. Fuente to Norvell raised it to .80 to .82. Now the past two years it’s been .84 plus. And that doesn’t include Parish and the two MSU kids.

I know we have found jewels without ratings but the cupboards are stocked much better now.

Which side of the ball will Barnett play?

Looks like the stars are aligning for Memphis football. I remember those days. I'm kinda sorta young compared to the people but been a fan since DeAngelo Williams days.
