Bassey will NOT be playing tonight due to back spasms. Frampton will start in his place but I think it should be Rawls (or maybe even McKnight) over Frampton.

Tops still heavily favored, but line has moved from 21.5 to 19.5.

I hope Bassey’s back issue is very short term and isn’t something that hinders him the rest of the season. You never know with back problems.

Wednesday night’s game against Georgia Tech has been canceled due to positive COVID tests and subsequent contact tracing within the UAB men’s basketball program. The game between the Blazers and the Yellow Jackets will not be rescheduled.

FAU is 5-3. We're 4-0 against NAIA. Our only D1 win is over UNF who were winless at the time (they do have a win over FIU since). This is not a promising start to a season.

We even lost to previously winless Stetson.

With UAB's game today with Georgia Tech canceled that should conclude the week.

Not like we beat anyone good though.

The UTEP schedule has turned out weird and like others, its mostly due to covid. UTEP had UNM on the schedule and NMSU twice. With limited options and covid interference, it is what it is.

While it is true, the SOS for CUSA opposition has been weak, at least we're winning. Could be losing against a weak schedule! We are 73-33 as a league.

Minor technicality: Florida and NCSU are both Top 150. We scheduled them. They just didn't show up...

It is a similar problem EVERY year. Never seems to improve...

UAB had Kentucky on the schedule, and ETSU and Chattanooga were good mid major games to throw on the schedule. I assume the KenPom rankings are used to determine the top 150 opponents?

I assume Kennedy will put together solid non conference schedules from here on. I was okay with what we did this year just because things were overhauled, but going forward I don't think that will be the case.

I get the Covid issues. Charlotte had Tennessee and VCU on tap and they were canceled. But FAU last season had 3 games against Non-D1 opponents and 4 sub 250 opponents. UTEP actually had more games against sub 250 and non-D1 teams in a shortened non-conference schedule this season compared to last season. I'm not hating on that. I just find it really fascinating. Some teams in CUSA do a really good job of balancing good and bad teams and some don't.
