VWU makes the short drive to the Ted on Tuesday. This is their first game this season. They were 23-5 last season, finishing as the runners up in the ODAC to Randy-Mac.

We have hosted them recently in exhibitions and it normally gets ugly in the second half. So this should be a good game for the young and new guys to get some burn. Hope to see lots of OConnell, Long and Shanu.

I will be disappointed if we are not up by 30 with 10 mins left in the game. This should be a beating Wesleyan doesn’t soon forget.

That may be a little optimistic. I'd be happy with a standard beat down that they will eventually forget.

I don’t care what the score is, I’d like to see the end of the bench get significant minutes early and often, not just mop time. This is an exhibition game from a NET perspective. I know we need to prepare for the conference, but we also need to try some new things and get an in-game evaluation of some of the new players. Let the get some real PT and see what they can do.

Im don't think people should just assume Wesleyan will be a pushover. They can compete with some D1 schools.

We have had very little practice/game time compared to what we typically have, I'm not sure we should experiment a ton.

I'm sure they can compete. All the better because it's a free game with decent competition. Of course we want to win, but we start conference play in a week and need game situation practice, which is exactly what this game provides. I feel like this is a glorified exhibition game and we should treat it as such. It has nothing to do with the skill of the opponent and everything to do with no NET loss and preparing for conference. We are going to need those guys at the end of the bench at some point this season, they need to be ready. If he is not going to use them then they should have redshirted.

If we lose this game, our fans heads would explode.

Just because guys aren't ready at the beginning of the season doesn't mean they won't be towards the end of the season. Redshirting is discussed with many players and sometimes, is the decision of the player.

Coaches can’t make players redshirt. It’s the decision of the player. Also, keep in mind that this season doesn’t count towards eligibility anyway.

Why are you already making excuses? We should always expect to win games against DII schools.

All of what you both (Giles & Pride) said is true. I never said Jones should make a player redshirt. But I guess technically everyone is already redshirting so it's OBE. I still don't see why we can't get these guys some PT. Heads may explode if we lose but it won't be like Kingsman.

If we are recruiting freshmen that aren’t ready to play DIII our problems are more serious than even I could have even imagined.

They can not compete against any D1 team not even the worst CUSA or CAA team. People including Jones are already making excuses if this is a close game. Our bigs should have a field day. Come on man....if this game is within 30 then they might have a decent DIII team. No excuses this should be an ass whopping.

Why is Curry not playing?

VWU coach has a record of 400 some wins and 150 some losses. Impressive. Wonder why he has stayed at D-III level
