Well no, because the 4 letter network controls the bowls and can veto it...

Why wouldn’t espn want to air #9 vs #16 in a bowl game? What better matchup will they get? There is a reason they loved the CCG to 2:30 on espn..they wanted the game

ESPN Wants Coastal on TV. I don't think they care 1 lick about you guys unfortunately.

Yup. And this is what pisses the Cajuns off the most. They are absolutely an afterthought.

But we will wear our conference championship rings proudly.

its a shame, really. CCU caught fire with their mullets and what not, but UL probably has the better team. Certainly had the best win, and I bet they wished they pulled a CCU and postponed their 1st game with the beach chickens. They could have been the story this year.

Yes.
Right now App or UNT are the only teams that could make the Indy bowl next Saturday to play Army. Dream: App wins MBB, accepts Indy bowl, gets a 10th win, finishes ranked.

I’m all for it, and I would hope the university would pursue this as well... I have to believe the coaches and players would be for it too.

Yeah you’re right. They care so little about us that they decided to put us on ABC @ 2:30 on Saturday instead. Those bastards.

Please dazzle us some more with your thoughtful insight.

You do realize that because of cancellations, their only other option for that slot was WKU/GaSt... or UVa vs William & Mary hoops... right?

No one said you’re hot garbage. But let’s not lose sight... but that’s hard for you, sorry, forgot.

We should all be given opportunity to play in 2 bowls if for no other reason than for making the effort to play all 12 games.

Apparently that is not the case! The Cajuns will be showcased on the ABC television network in the prime 2:30 PM time slot. A potential massive TV audience! UL will take that!

And a bigger bowl payout.

Yes we know.....after the first Nola Bowl appearance for the Cajuns the league changed the financial distributions. The Cajuns made an absolute killing and most of the league took a bloodbath.

Don't know if I'd call it a killing, but we profited by $375K after expenses. I think the second year after the league instituted the sharing policy we took in $40K but that was when the attendance was almost 50K. I think for the Tulane game it was even lower at $10K.
