NY6 Bowl Watch
I don't care who we play or where we play. Just to be back to a relevant bowl since 2010 is a thing of beauty! Music to my ears. Soothes the soul.

I've been 2020ized so much that there's a part of me that is scared that the CFP commidiots will slide Coastal Carolina ahead of us... just because.

I get it but there is a zero percent chance that happens

Hoping for Peach because of the easy drive. Would probably try to get to Jerry World if it's cotton

RE: NY6 Bowl Watch
Where Iowa State is ranked determined a lot. If they stay ahead of IU they probably become the best candidate for the Fiesta Bowl. Fall below and then I could see Cincinnati out west becomes a possibility.
I can see UC being ranked anywhere from 6th through 10 today. Coastal will be below them at 12.
My best guess is
1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Ohio State
4. ND
5. TAMU
6. Oklahoma
7. Florida
8. Georgia
9. Cincinnati
10. Iowa State
11. IU
12. Coastal Carolina
UNC and Oregon get bids based on conference auto bids to NY6.

I think we'll be above Georgia. My best guess is we're 8th

RE: NY6 Bowl Watch
If the committee was being honest. Coastal Carolina would be ahead of Iowa State and IU. Cincinnati would be 6th, I am not ready to make the playoff argument for UC. Only played two road games all year but has five really solid wins. I am not sure I completely penalize teams that lose to Clemson or Alabama this year, the same I don’t UC should have penalized last year for losing at Ohio State. At full strength those are still another world ahead of just about everyone.
Ohio State is basically a jersey and helmet that beat up a bad Big Ten. They don’t deserve it based on only playing six games but they are Ohio State.

How many guys on Northwestern would start for O$U? One? Maybe two?
So basically O$U just won a scrimmage against their second team 22-10.

RE: NY6 Bowl Watch
I think we get a nice jump to #6 or #7, because:
a) It doesn't matter in determining what bowl we go to, and
b) It can help them say, "See, we give the G5 guys the respect they deserve."

RE: NY6 Bowl Watch
I lean to #7, but think anything 6-10 possible. The committee has talked about evaluating teams in groups, and I could see Oklahoma, Iowa State, Florida, Georgia, and UC in the same group after this week. Oklahoma being added to the group this week. (This is all my guesses only obviously).
My guess is Oklahoma jumps to the top of that group, but they judge UC's conference championship to be a tiebreaker over Florida and Georgia. Iowa State I lean to being at bottom, but could fall anywhere except over Oklahoma. Outside Florida over Georgia and Oklahoma over Iowa State, I can see any order in those 5 teams though.

Like the magical 2009 season, no one, NO ONE, can take away our undefeated championship regardless of what happens after today. So proud and happy as an alumnus and fan to share that with everyone in Bearcat Nation!

I love the argument that Notre Dame and Texas A&M have both proven they can't compete for the championship. Time to put in someone who has not yet had the chance to prove if they belong or not.

RE: NY6 Bowl Watch
I much prefer Oregon over a 4th place SEC team in their home state. If we do to Oregon what I'd expect us to, it would REALLY push the conversation toward the PAC 12 and if they deserve the P5 moniker over us anymore.
Beating Georgia would bring the same "they weren't deserving" or "they didn't have any motivation/didn't want to be there" and if they win it'll be all about how we don't deserve to be in the conversation as a conference. Far less to gain and far more to lose.

Me too. I would love smack around the PAC-12.

Love that ESPN left Holly Rowe on campus to live report for the CFP Selection Show.

My top six is correct so far. Oklahoma at six is so dumb.
